Hello Jilles,

I had some Questions:

What is the different about the Roll Center under the Blocks: 0, 0,5 an 1,0 or more???

I Drive 17,5 and 13,5

At ETS in Austria i had a rear stable but not steering, I could not do what I wanted i had no Steering. I saw other drivers had in the rear 1,0 under the Blocks and in front 0,5 -1,0

Give it a Website where give it a setup Book, what makes the car when....?

Thanks for your Help

Hi Jilles,

Good luck at the race, Jonest mentioned you were racing in Malaysia this week. Your a busy guy!
Thanks again for the loan of the radio module at the TITC, was nice to be able to complete a run without glitching. Also cheers for all the advice... shame have to wait a year to try again!

Guys,

Attached herewith the amended setup sheet for Jilles and Marc.

Ed, you are right, Jilles were running 2 pcs TRF Blue O-ring within the shocks. He removed the delrin spacer.

Hello racers,

Sorry being absent so long time again!
Busy times!!!

Kody;
We not much run the rear diff in the high position. The only race we did was Euros 2009 Luxembourg to get more steering in the fast sweeper. Normally I feel I have better control and more rear traction with the diff low.

Killooli;
Normally with 1mm shim under the suspension blocks in the rear gives more rotation ( less traction ) more steering. We normally use always 0.5mm lower in front then rear. At the TITC I ran rear 0mm and front -.05 ( flipped the suspension blocks and use 2.5mm shims. This gave more stability and more easy drive.

Peter;
For my (Sanwa Exzes X) radio I use 2400mAh Lipo from MuchMore.
I really like my new radio btw!!

Smartypants;
I feel with two o-ring more consistant shock and less leaking. Also has more traction in my opinion.

transplantlife;
TRF team always use HB springs on asphalt and Tamiya springs on carpet.

Jilles,

Have you got a base set up for carpet and asphalt with HB springs for the 417?

Thanks

Are there any tips for removing the sleeves off the spool cups?

I run a 416X and wanted to put in a gear diff instead instead of the standard spool. I had trouble removing the aluminium sleeves to get the bearings and bearing holders (K-parts) off, and ended up having to shave the end off the cups (51443, I think), but that means I can't re-use them.

I've ordered some spares, but wanted to avoid this in future.

Phil.

Hi Jilles,

I was wondering if you can share your esc settings and fdr for the v1 esc and new orion motor please? What you used at TITC with the 4.5t would be great, your car was a rocket. Also, what do you find the difference is between the newer and older orion motor is? And would you recommend a fan all the time, or was the 40mm fan that you used at TITC just used then for the humid/hot conditions then?

Thanks in advance!

Antoni
