Forget the balancing weights:

Minimum weight at Snowbirds race was 1420 gram.

I used 60gr weight on the centerline of the chassis.
Moved the battery little outside(5mm from bulkhead) , same line as outside chassis.
15gr right front under steering, 10 gr left front under steering.
5 gr right rear behind the Lipo.

hi jilles
congrats on the win. i am curios about the front setting posted in the setupsheet. it says you used 0mm FF and 1m FR under the blocks. that creates
anti dive as far as i know. why did you use this and what are the effects??
also how were the grip conditions?

thx
cheers

Hi jilles congrates on your latest win..

jilles what esc do you currently use as im looking to take my 416we up to the mod class prob use 4.5t on a track like halifax in the UK, i just dont know what is the best esc to use, speed passion gt 2 pro or the lrp sxx tc spec/pearl i am torn between..

im mindfull of the 1350g weight limit and cant help wondering if the sp gt2 with its larger/heavier size will make this hard to acheive, or go with the smaller lrp sxx tc...i see pics at the latest ets that most of the trf team now use the speed passion, maybe you could help advise what is the best esc to buy for mod and what turn motor would be best suited as an all rounder..

many thanks and sorry its a little off thread..

ps how does the 416x handle compared to the 416we?

Jilles uses the pearl, I think he commented on the GT earlier in this thread. He also has already commented that the X is basically the same but you may need to place your weights different to the WE (because of the battery)

4.5t seems to be the go-to motor for lipo on anything but the smallest tracks. The birds track was super tight and he only went 1 turn higher

I just can't get over how close the 'birds setup is to kit! what an awesome car (if you are lazy like me)

What about steering breace. When you use std and when separate? What is the difference with 6-6 and 6-5 downstop. Why you use the same in front and rear

Thank's

Default Welldone JGH

Hi Gilles,

Welldone on your snowbirds win , it's one of those races on my Bucket list

When you say Evo Arm on your setup sheet does that mean the Long arm i.e the 416 kit arm (3 holes one side 2 holes the other)?

Thanks

Karl

Evo arms are the short arms that come with WE/X

Are you sure Craig , if they are the WE/X kit arms, why would he have specified Evo?

Now the Original L.W. Suspension arms ( 3 and 2) referring to shock position holes .
These Arms are named on the Header car as TB Evo IV arms and come Std with the original 416.
Where the newer Short L.W suspension arms are named the Short Reversable arms.

I am sure JGH will let us know when he next comes on.

Karl, If I look at all of the more recent setups posted by Jilles he specifies EVO Arm in all of them, a while back he did onfirm that it is actually the short arm but I suppose the TRF drivers refer to it as the EVO arm since it was first available on the EVO V MS kit. Although I'm sure Jilles will confirm when he gets on here again.

Hi, looking for a set-up for Rubber (sorex 28) on Carpet for a newly built 416X. I race on quite a small tight and twisty indoor track.

Do you have a set up sheet completed that fits this criteria that you could post up?

Your advice would be much appreciated.............
