With all the different Speed Controls, how do you plan to tech the use of "turbo" functions ? I think that would be impossible to tech. I am wondering if that is a reasonable rule to have ?
And no need for all the VTA guys to start blasting me. I understand the reason for the rule, I am just curious how you can enforce it.

there is only one way to check it that is by checking the profiles and for the tekin with a hotwire and laptop as far as if it's reasonable to do we are working on exactly how we are going to go about it.If it turns out that it isn't reason either because of time or something else the rule may removed at that time.
Can i run the Reedy #719 3.7v pack? it is not listed in the roar approval list. supposively it is has been submitted. it was able to run at iic and was hoping i could run it.

Hey Bill,
Since VTA tires aren't belted, it is very easy to see the high timing kick-in by simply holding the car up and squeezing the trigger. You'll be able to see the tires balloon even just between profile 5 & 6 on the LRP speedos. The Tekin RS Turbo feature looks even more violent. If time is of the essence, this would be an easy (although crude) last ditch effort. Glad to see VTA at another national race. It's a great class to relax and have fun with.

Just curious if practice really starts at noon on wed? Seems we'll be missing a round of practice if that's the case, unless we'll be running later into the night?

Maybe have some sort of rpm sensing system with a reflector attached to the rear wheels & have a sensing device in tech fire up the car on the bench you should be able to hear the difference & see the diference on the rpm sensor.
I have a real concern about this I have an older Novak & cannot afford 200 clams to buy a new one at this time.
