instead of lowering the weight of a class why cant lipo come from the factory the same weight as a nimh battery. If they lower the weight to much I will have to change my electronic layout to get balanced just make lipos heavier then you wont have to use weights my .02

I don't like the idea of carrying unnecessary weight. I can balance my 05 xray with around 100g. That still leaves me around 80g underweight with rubber tyres.

I hope that as Lipo's become more common the allow for a suitable weight reduction.

Why add weight back to the lipo and eliminate one of the biggest advantages it has over round cells? Lighter cars are a good thing...quicker acceleration, braking and transitioning, less tire wear, and fewer broken parts because of less mass.
