Yokomo make a pretty good tire warmer, pretty expensive though,
Trinity also make a decent one which is not as expensive...

But the Yokomo is my tire warmer of choice. :D

how MUCH $$$$

hi guys i would just like to know how much they would go for here in Sunny Australia

I'm using non-regulated Eagle tire warmers. They do make a difference, especially when the temperature gets low. I'm using them with rubber tires on carpet.

Tyre warmers work by sending power through resistance wires that are in those round things that you wrap around your tyres. The resistance wire turns the power that goes through it into heat and therefore you get warm tyres. Simple :)

I currently use the eagle racing ones, withiut regulator, but seeing the one from Yokomo.......

Where can we get that on-line?

Ohhhh they DO make a difference!! especially for the first 1-2 tuns of a race.

Surrikarn took the world championship due to the use of tire warmers on the last race IN SUMMER :):):D

The Yokomo's sell for about 23000 Yen here in Japan, which is about AU$300... But you would probably be looking at over $400 in Oz (thats if you can get them there).. They are US$350 on the Yokomo US website

The Trinity is a little cheaper at 17000 Yen, they have a cup like the Yokomo, but its not as well made as the Yokomo
The Eagle is 7000 Yen..

Nnick:
Not sure of too many online shops in Japan, you could try this link though, this is where is do some of my shopping :P

I didn't know they had a web site!! :):)

Nick

I'm using the Trinity tyre warmers. They do the job, cheaper than the Yokomo' warmers but if you want something with a better built quality, I'd spend that little more for them.

I should have got the Yokomo warmers in the first place!
