mini 4wd

You mean 4WD M-chassis range...?! Like Xray T1M, ABC Genetic, Active 210s, HPI Mini RS4, HPI Cup Racer stuffs huh?!

With 1:12 Stratus & 1:12 Mazda6 body, they become 1:12 scale touring, but they fit 1:10 Cooper, 1:10 Fiat500 body too, then'll become 1:10 touring...:tire::tire:

TommyBlazin 03-19-2009 09:57 PM

thats already an m-chassis thread.. I think?!

HPI just started again with Cup Racer, sweet sweet sweet chassis layout, gonna get one... have to... hmm~~ c-u-p~ r-a-c-e-r~

ABC also came out with a "revise rear suspension" Genetic. "Naked-R" was the name... I think?!

Active 210s was very high quality in its craftmanship, belt running. Another belt running version was Xpress MRR2, craftmanship wise wasn't as good as Active, unless one get the Pro version, which was as good, if not better then Active.

I recall another one... Atlas Beat:confused: which share the exact suspension geometry/components with ABC Genetic, but running on belt.

:)

Get a Cup Racer...:batman:

Atomic will have one too...the chassis layout is identical to 1/10th touring..I m still waiting for the launch though. Heres the link..ATOMIC VM2

The Yokomo MR-4TC Mini ran on full-size touring tyres, and 4-cell packs. XRAY and I think also Corally made cars to that design. They had a squashed Stratus body. It was a good car but pretty short-lived as a class.

If you are going to start a class (great idea), stick to cars like the HPI Cup Racer that just came out - 4wd, 6-cells/LiPo, mini-size tyres, scale bodies.

Personally I would be tempted to spec a cheap brushed motor (silvercan or similar) and a single tyre to keep the costs down, with a weight limit that doesn't penalise NiMH. Would be a great fun/beginner class.

I think most of the current 4wd mchassis will fit 1/10th tires, however they will look more proportion with the intended size tyres. Check Active A210SS or the upcoming Atomic VM2...the chassis layout is exactly the same as some 1/10th touring cars.

Heres the list of current 4wd mchassis or 1/12th touring that I know:

Xpress MRR2
Active A210SS
ABC Genetic
Team Atlas Beat
HPI Cup Racer
TN Racing conversion kit-TA05 to mini
Tech racing conversion kit- M03
Atomic VM2 (soon)
3Racing conversion kit-TT01 to mini (soon)
