Pictures of Josh Cyrul's X-Ray:

You can tell Josh was nice enough to grant me a photo session with his gear. He had a lot of work to do on his cars (he is running two brand new cars for the first time!) so it was very appreciated.

it's just you. SMC batteries have the voltage up in the corner. if you look real hard you can see the 1.1 and then it looks like white out on the last two numbers. the 1.500 and 1.496 are probably the peak voltage.

actually if you look closely he has a cell that reads 1.500v, but that is not the number that you are thinking it is. I believe that number is a peak charge number, it is not your average discharge number at 30 amps. On the SMC label the average discharge number is on the top row on the right hand side, next to discharge seconds at 30 amps which is on the left hand side.

Hi Shane. greetings from Malta.

Please don't fall into the same rut as most other forums and just show pics of one car and one make.

I am referring to touring cars here. Josh Cyrul's 1/12th scale car is interesting because it is new and you don't see them everywhere. Great to see pics of that car. But his X ray is just like every other X Ray. Now if he starts altering it the way he alters his other cars then that's worth a pic or 2. Let's see some of the more interesting cars.

Please don't take this as criticism. I mean it constructively. If you look in RC Zone it all X Ray, almost exclusively. Understandably. That's why we take most of what they write with a pinch of salt.

We respect RC Tech more than that!

Regards

Joe from sunny Malta.

Thanks for the coverage Shane!!!!!!!!!!!! It's hard getting access to the info that you want isn't it! I had the same problem at the Off-Road Worlds. You doing a great job, the pictures look great. Happy Thanksgiving to all - good luck to those racing. Keep up the good work.

If you notice the runtime on his batteries you will see that Josh is actually testing the new SMC 35 amp cells that will be offered in the near future. Thats why the runtime only shows 371 on his 12th scale. Its the same stuff we have been running on oval for about 4 weeks now. Really runs well!!

Josh's Xray isn't the same as all of the others. Notice that he is running shorter prototype(?) front and rear arms. The arm mounts are mounted on the outside of the bulkheads not inside.

dway100 - Team Xray drivers have had those arms since at least the Reedy Race in May.

Futureal - Can you track down Andrew Cartwright? He has the latest Proto of the Schumacher Mi2. Its so new it went straight to him and we havent seen it yet! Can you get some pics?
