At the price of the new kit, I'd be tempted to buy a second new kit early next year, I really do like the Photon.
(Anyone want to buy my spare NiMh chassis, it's unlikely I'll ever use it. )
Oh what, i brought 2 new photons last week could have saved $80
anyway it will my first time seeing and racing a Photon as dont think anyone races these in New Zealand

Always the way, I know there is very few people running TOP in Queensland where I am, Xray seems flavor of the month right now around here, and the new TC6 is taking off, but I still love the Photon, such a nice looking car with everything the other brands have.

Does anyone use the velcro battery strap? What is the difference btw that and the standard battery strapping tape?

Anyone have a spare 6cell rubber chassis for sale? Used but minor scratches or new is fine.

Velcro strap is just dead easy to use, designed for use with the aloy mounts though, but once you have it setup oh so easy to change the battery quickly, holds damn strong as well.

And yes, with the Int kit having both chassis in it, a lot of guys probally have unused nimh chassis sitting around.

Question about springs , top has two diff. Set:
Foam and rubber. We are running rubber tires on carpet, and mostly what I have are foam springs . Would it matter alot using them on carpet rubber tires?

Just an FYI, the A Main kit comes with a lot of spare parts that may or may not come in other packages.

Is the battery strap only for lipo chassis or both?

Default PONDERING

I am just wondering getting a CEFX for my current photon. I bought the Photon second hand - it was kind of mint, but the person who had it first must have given up after building it like an idiot, because they damaged the threads in the top link bulkheads. I have overcome this with some longer screws, and nuts etc. That kind of gives me an excuse for getting the CEFX.

I do wonder - and this is kind of aimed at GURU JOSH if the CEFX evolution is continually getting spec changes, or if it is gonna be updated and changed in the next 6 months or so. PArt of the reason I switched to the T.O.P was because, unlike XRAY (which I love) and now most other kits, it is not continually changed with substantial overhaul kits.

Out of interest, with such a small mount for the motor, aren't their any heatsink problems - ie - overheating motor, or does the chassis cut-out effectively counteract the lack of heatsinking?
