Nice ordering site. Just like Amain. Is that case for the car the actual box?

Default Foam Photon

I am running the foam car and was wondering if the Xray 6 degree caster blocks would work on the Photon?

XRAY Composite Hard Foam-Spec C-Hub (Left 6°) (T2 008)
[XRA302376]

****Low*Price:*$7.79*

The are very snug in the arm and need to be sanded to work properly. If you plan on using the photon steering block, you will need to put a shim between the block and the top of the c-hub. Don't forget to pick up the Xray bushings also. At $18 for the set, I think they're made of Platinum.

I don't have a technical answer for you, but I can tell you what I noticed today when I play'd with it.

The further forward you go, the more steering you get. But it does become more difficult to drive. I was lacking some mid corner steering. EJ suggested I go up one(I had it all the way back). But I had a hard time getting used to it. I had to learn to be a lot more smooth with the wheel or else the back end would come out.

I think the build manual suggests building it short - I can't imagine that you would get any steering on that setting! Run it on the middle setting with the 10 insert as a starting point, go smaller on the insert or longer on the crank if you need more aggressive steering than that.

Middle crank: Standard
Rearward crank: increase steering in first part of Corner, more agility in Chicane
Forward crank: increase steering in fast Corner and out of curve, but is much less reactive in the chicane.
Insert:
10: standard position
9: reduces steering in input, steering increases in output corner
11: increase steering input corner
12: I have not tried it yet

I have seen them mounted on top of the steering bellcrank with a long set screw.

Getting a photon from the wife for xmas. Getting rid of some of my xray parts. Wondering will xray shock springs fit on photon shocks? I have a ton of them and wondering if I should keep them.

Thanks
Chris
