They don't come in a kit, a main has all the spings, you can use the black pro-4 hpi set as well, they are almost identical.

What's new about them? New design or just different material?

Hopefully a harder plastic like the V2 spool.

I did not know there was a quality issue with the old ones. Maybe I need to drive the chassis harder.

Its not bad, but they can shift after a hard hit.

metal suspension mount insert starts to play when you tighten the screw ,
You have to hold it with Pliers when tighten the screw to manage the notch straight on top or buttom...

You should double check your suspension mounts Mike, you might find one or two where the notch isn't quite lined up right.

A couple of mine are doing this. If I don't hold them with pliers when tightening them, it will spin the metal piece with the notch inside the plastic mount and makes a few other settings slightly off.

I'll have to pick up a set of these new ones.

Tony (Stiltskin) loaned me a Photon for a race this weekend. Ive spent the better half of the afternoon going through it, and mind you this was NOT a new kit.

What complaints i have seem to follow what most have already mentioned. The suspension mount cams rotate when you tighten them up. The screws seem sub par in material quality. The wheel hexes seems a little fragile. ETC.

The aluminum LiPo retainers are pimp, but seem best suited for packs with bullet connections. My wired Trinity or SMC packs arent the most convenient for the mounts.

I dig the adjustability of the design. Totally. Flippable arms for lower shock mounting holes. The vertical inner camber plates are sweet and simple. The car has both form and function. I may have found my next car!

Now to see how it does with some HP.

Default Thanks Dave(locked)

Your right I took a better look at the mounts and saw what you were talking about.
I'll have to put those on the list.

Any idea where to run this fall and winter? The Depot track was rained the last 3 weeks.

No idea bro. I'm just hoping someone can manage to organize something nearby before it gets too cold.

Yeah, the timing for rain has been horrible this summer. I think we need to get a massive tent that will cover the entire depot track.
