I think he is reffering to chassis balancing blocks, such as Hudy ones

No there are currantly no holes for the blocks....

RE: the question about holding the lipo in,
You still need to use tape like every car, the blocks help alot for keeping it in one position, very useful

There does appear to be center holes in the shock towers, though.

That weight is with regular weight shell btw

No idea what weight the lipo is but it's a GM 5000 35C

As for motor off centre I can't really comment..... I don't have my verniers out lol

Hang on, are you saying the whole car with electronics, 50g of lead, rubber tyres and a bodyshell is only 1338g?

Ahh yeah I see those. Guess I'll have to balance with those or scales. Still looking forward to my car arriving!

E.J., at the Reedy did you use the TOP screw in weights on your Photon, and if so which ones? What else did you do to balance the car, if anything?

Yep give or take 20-30g for scale inaccuracies

My scythe currently is plastered with stick on wheel weights and looks untidy.
The Photon should be much neater .

It seems strange that the kit setup has the ackerman on the hubs in the forward position?

Could the hubs possibly be molded so that the rear hole is the extreme rear hole as used by the old xray hubs? So that the fwd hole is actually equal to the rear hold on other cars.

definately looks like it.
Im sure Josh mentioned that he initially ran Xray hubs and steering blocks on the Scythe/ARP/CFP when developing the Photon.
This must have carried over on the Photon.

Hi,

I will try and post up a sort of build guide for the car as I prepare for the MMGP this weekend.

It will be on my blog http://raceandlife.blogspot.com/
