Did it work for you ? ... Seems to help in low grip conditions here in Australia.

Yes, it was a quick fix instead of making whole sale setup changes.

Quick Question.... Does anyone know where I could buy the king pin collars (4152-P4S1) for the front steering blocks in bulk? We have 3 guys who run Photons at our track and 2 of us had some driver errors and used 2 of the 3 collars third guy had.

Spending almost $9 for 4 of them gets expensive.

Thanks
Chris

It's a lot cheaper than the xray ones The size is close to some other cars, I think the tc5 ones will fit but might be a tad loose, I know I had used a different one once when I was out.

Getting the photon ready for the outdoor season, is there any chassis protectors out there? And what is a good starting setup for the 6 cell chassis and ball diffs?

thanks in advance

The Rommel for the chassis protectors. I was lucky enough to test fit the Photon lipo chassis prototypes. He has a thread here or you can check this link out.

I just read your post over. I do believe he has the 6cell protectors too..

I figure I'm just going to drive the snot out of my Photons on the asphalt this summer and hope either the narrow chassis or the exotek photon chassis will be out by winter.

Tamak. Don't worry about beating up that 6 cell chassis dude. There are probably a ton of people that bought the international kit that would sell the extra 6 cell chassis for cheap. I know I have one I probably won't end up using. Ask some Photon drivers in your area if they have one.

I cant wait to run this summer on tarmac depot. If you want a protector you can have one. I have on for Joe's TC5. I know you have a new carpet car. With everything going on I dont think I will be out to Lou's for a bit so I am going to run tarmac at depot and Tarmac at HRH when it get going. If you have a good tarmac set up let me know. I plan on running GT1 and GT2.

If you ever want a 6cell chassis contact me.

Thanks bro, but I'm not too worried about some scratches. My newer car has only been on carpet, but it's taken some hard hits and just doesn't look so new anymore. I think exotek and TOP will probably both have a narrow chassis by winter. I will buy one for both of my cars, so I might as well drive them full out on the asphalt. I'm even going to try out a 5.5 duo3 in one. Run some mod races with the fast guys at RROL on Saturdays, maybe even the depot on Sundays.
It's going be a fun, but expensive summer.

Can anyone let me know what spacers/washers/shims I need to run the Yoko gear diff?, I know someone said but I can't seem to find the post now, and I forgot to write it down, really need a better gear diff now as the micro chewed on it's third outing in 10.5T, and I don't really want to go back to a ball diff.

Just use the red shim from the micro-pro one, it's the right size

Hanulec, have you try Xray's steering blocks with the ECS/Mira combo? I found a couple of them from my old/gone 007. They seem to have the same dimensions as Photon's.
