Hi Larry, I am trying to reduce the turning radius of my car. The biggest difference my T3 11 and TOP is the steering throw and i was guessing that the drastic difference in turning radius is most probably because of the turning radius.

i'd say if your using full lock, you should probably look at another setup component. i only use it when traction is low / track is cold.

Noob Question.... How much push should I expect running a spool? Especially in the sweeper? I was told that my car pushes hard in the sweeper because I am driving too hard into the corner and I cant drive that way with a spool.

Any advice about running with a spool would be appreciated...

thanks
Chris

spools are great! tell us more about the surface you're racing on, your motor class, and post your setup if you like --- we need that sort of stuff to help.

generally -- you have to lift when entering a sweeper (or find the outside board - it is your choice).

Parking Lot (med/ low traction), 17.5 spec (blinky),

I think its me. I just need to lift before the sweeper. Just not used to doing that. I am getting quite acquainted with the outside board. lol

Thanks as always,
Chris

another thing to look into -- what are others at the same tracking doing? are they lifting there? you can tell this by either talking w/ folks ... or just watching their cars travel around the track.

Today was better.... We put down some grape soda for traction, but the pollen was horrible and temp was low. But the sweeper was the least of my worries.

Thanks for all the help,
Chris

A 50/50 mix of grape soda and water is the way to go but it helps greatly to blow the track off first. Pollen is a big traction reducer and hard to work around. We haven't been hit by it yet at Jackson but I know its coming...

I just want to thank Larry and The GOAT for their help yesterday at Jackson. The three of us were close to sweeping all of the TC classes yesterday.

I'm truly excited about running the Photon outdoors. I'm mostly shocked as to how good Larry's base indoor setup worked outdoors by only changing front springs and adding a rear gear diff.

Good Run yesterday FJ, Goat also ran well.

My car was getting better as Traction started to come up. It was a fun day yesterday. Mod is quite fast at night.

Racing was tight in all classes yesterday and Until problems beyond my control Haynes and I had quite a race going on as well.

Its going to be a great season at Jackson.

As always the Top Boys are a big help at Jackson. The Spring change sure helped me out too.

Congrats to FJ on the W yesterday. It was only a club race but it sure didnt seem like it. LOL
