Josh, I am glad to see that many years of your hard work is finally coming together and from what I have seen and heard about the new car and it's components TOP will have one of the best touring cars out there. I look forward to purchasing one when I come back to racing.

Good luck!

That means you can run belts loose without worrying about them skipping!! great for spec class and the belts have less friction as well with bigger pulley!!

Man, what a treat to see a TC design that's not another "me too." If this car is as dialed on the track as it looks in CAD drawings, we're all in trouble!

About the materials of this new chassis kit, i wonder to know instead the plastic materials, will be the alloy and carbon parts of the car will be made in Japan like before for Scythe?
Even Yokomo BD5's main parts is from US, why not now TOP's kinds will be made in US and Japan?

Best regards

Why must they make it in the US?
Japan has a very high quality standard for a low price.
let them make it in Japan.

Wait Mikky, i am not meaning that i want as they should be made in US, i mean that i am convinced to be made in both sides.
Off course even myself want it be totally made in Japan, in the case i am living in asia zone, for me is much more an advantage to be the chassis made in the nation of rising sun, even to have better price and easier to find parts, isn' it?
As i saw Scythe is made in Japan just because is designed and developed by 2008 All Japan Expert class 2nd place driver Yamazaki-san, isn' it?
Since now this new 1 is design by american so is naturally made on the same site, to all facilities to be easier to access and follow?

Another thing i want say, here is the latest news details about Photon

ok sorry i thought that you wanted it all to be made in the US and in Japan.
I'm also for Japan.

I hath those solidworks drawings all ready but it's now with text. thanks.

Josh great job. I hath don some things different but when i see the overall design it's great. i couldn't do it better my self.
I love the low top plates.

i can't wait. I want one.
Thanks that we can choose were we put the 5 cell.
I love tho choose because every track and rubber tiers need a diffrend place to put the battery.

Honestly, since you saw its details, don't make you feel it has Xray's DNA?
So, my matter to buy it is depended the price and material quality then i hope it has like Xray, internet's customer treatment to be helpful for setups to make the customer drivers competitive in any kind of race condition.

Yes it looks like a lot on Xray in some parts.
Still i believe that the quality is ok and the service i have no problem with.
I have a good online shop were i buy my parts from in the Netherlands.
Hanglooseracingproducts has a very good service.
I use my own setups. don't need that to make a choice.
I love the way Xray did. It's the best setup sheet and way to do it from all the cars.

The car looks great! I will be in the market for a new car in a couple of months. This will definitely make my choice harder. For me to buy this car the price will have to be right and parts will need to be available. The features I like are the shock tower mounting (no tower tweak), and it is VERY lipo friendly. My choices are between the new RDX and this at the moment. Luckily for me I have Corally and Top drivers at my home track so support should be easy to get.

I know these questions will be asked 100 times but...

When will it be available in the US?

What will be the approx. street price?

The car might not suit foams all that much, but I might as well throw the question out there...

will they fit?

I've spent half my life r/c racing... and the other half wishing I had started it earlier :D

If you're not having fun whilst racing, you're not racing!
