We tried the Super Mini class before and it died in about a year.
The TOP mini will not create a new class, it will fit in with any club/series that runs a 1/10th scale mini with around 210mm wheelbase (Tamiya M03, Yokomo Mini, Xpress MRR2, ABC Genetic, HPI Mini, Atlas Beat, Active A210ss to name but a few!).

Mini is a very small class in the UK too but it does have a following and some clubs/series run this class.

apparently the 4wd mini class is fairly popular in Asia,

in Australia there are a few running around but not enough interest to start racing it as a class. I would like it to become more popular though,

most of the clubs here in holland have a "mini" class using the M chassis

i think i would like to try a 4WD mini chassis but wont race one , as i love the M chassis classes

Not really as popular in asia, only in HK and in few places in Southeast asia.
I remember in TITC there's just 1 race main.
I never heard before there's a official race for this kind of chassis in Japan, even it's the make place of these chassis.

Here's my TOP Photon.
Obviously it pre production so not sure if the final specs will be different,
Due in the next few weeks so shouldn't be long :-)

Any questions, I'll be happy to answer them.

Looks ace Luke! Can you tell us what the car weighs, what your battery weighs, how much lead did you add to balance the car and how much is there just for ballast. and lastly, can you say how far off centre the motor is? is it 15mm to the front of it?

I haven't run a red car since the Xpress in 2000/01 but this is super tempting!

Cheers, Chris.

One of the most beautiful cars I've seen!
I still don't care for that style of lower suspension mount.
IMHO

how to set your lipo?
scotch or supporting lipo pack with the book keeps all alone?

Hiya,

The car as it is there is 1338g with 50g of lead, it is just about balanced left to right, maybe another 20-30g needed.
That weight is with regular weight shell btw

No idea what weight the lipo is but it's a GM 5000 35C

As for motor off centre I can't really comment..... I don't have my verniers out lol

hth

Hmmm...not that this is a major issue but there doesn't seem to be any holes in chassis to use for balancing.

not true all the holes are in the chassis for the screw on weights.
You can also see the weights in the battery tray in the pics.
