What are suitable track conditions to use the gear diff instead of the ball diff? I run on asphalt in the 17.5 boosted class. Grip is anywhere from low to medium generally and high if I travel to a different track.

My understanding is that The gear diff works well on med high and better. There a guy here at my track has two gear diffs in his car and works great, but you would have to play alot testing different oil thickness for front and rear

Suitable track conditions? Try Timezone Raceway!

Miss you up here in the NW. Had fun racing with you. My Photon should be arriving soon. Just ordered the gear diffs. Will be nice to be able to tune the diffs.

Preparing for the IIC. You goin? Would be cool if you could come up for the Timezone Gran Prix on the outdoor track, July 23 - 25. Most likely another carpet indoor Timezone II Gran Prix early next year. Later...

Roger! Hope that all is going well in PDX. I would love to race at Timezone again! No carpet racing here in San Diego. =(

I love being back here. The job is great, the weather has been great, and the people are great. The racing scene isnt like Portland in San Diego but atleast Orange County and LA arent too far.

Wont be able to make it up for the Timezone Grand Prix. I will keep you posted on my PDX trip and will have to bring my touring car stuff with me.

Where did you order the gear diff from?

Chi

I like the 6 cell chassis better than the lipo chassis on asphalt.
