Where the ARB mounts to the shock tower. The manual has the cut out towards the bottom screw, i have turned mine round so the cut out is towards the top screw.

Keeps the roll bar flatter.

Yes kit top deck.

There is nothing that is going to look different. I believe its going to have the new shocks which look almost exactly the same. A lipo chassis(no cutouts for nimh) and a couple other small running changes but nothing thats going to look any different as far as I know.

Roughly what size pinion gear do you think I should use along with the stock 100T 64P spur gear on a med-large track running a 17.5 tekin redline with an RS pro esc?

I'm guessing the number of teeth should be somewhere in the high twenties to low thirties, but I could be way off. Any expert advice would be greatly appreciated.

what is the drivetrain ratio (internal) on a Photon? around 2?

Thanks

Thanks odpurple. There is still so much I need to learn about this hobby. It's a bit overwhelming.

Iam by no means an expert, but run the same set-up at SpeedWorld a med-large track. I started with a 37tooth pinion and had great straightway speed and very nice power in the in-field. It did get hot(175-180), but installed a fan and that cured the heat problem without having to gear down a tooth or two. The ESC is running the 203 software, but Iam not sure what it is set at, one of the fast guys at our track set it up to the standard set-up used at our track. I will be going down a tooth the next time out, but either of these will get you in the ball park in belive. Make sure you keep an eye on the temps.

So if I calculated this correctly, I should be aiming for a FDR around 5.5 and adjust from there.

Thank you very much Bill
