Hi Diffscrew
There are many factors to this, but basicly higher roll center gives more grip, and lower roll center gives less grip.

Actually you have that reversed...

Low roll center - the chassis rolls more and you get more grip.

High roll center - the chassis rolls less and you get less grip.

And if you run a higher roll center, you also may want to soften the front springs

And with a lower roll center you can run slightly harder springs to counteract the roll...

I am interested in purchasing a Photon kit but I've been waiting for the specs to "stabilize".

I was under the impression that a major chassis redesign might be included and now I see new shocks coming out.

Can somebody from TOP indicate when the new shocks might be a part of the standard kit and what's the status on a new chassis plate with the newer battery mounts?

Will the chassis be updated at all?

I'm not keen to buy the kit only to find out a major revision just came out a month later.

The newer kits are expected any day now and will include the updated shocks. The older shocks had a problem with leaking when using the original o-rings. The kits were updated at that time to include the harder o-rings to help with the leakage. They have now redesigned the shocks and switched factories for their production. The new chassis will also be included in the new kits, but last time I talked to Michael, he was unsure which chassis would be spec'ed in the new kits. The soft 2.25 or medium 2.5 chassis should be standard. The top deck was revised to allow for batteries using corally-style plugs. The car is still relatively new and running changes can be expected. Don't feel like your kit is out-of-date by any means. The car is still uber dialed in whatever form you are running.

I don't know of any arms with 4 holes or any softer arms. I'm hoping to speak with OD later today and I'll ask him about them.

Tony.. my latest kit i just built had rear arms that has 4 hole shock positons.. the fronts still have 3 holes.

Gonna order the newer shock set... should be more dialed!
