If you're talking carpet only... I would suggest getting the foam kit. Reason being is that all of us have been using the foam car carbon pieces to run rubber tire. In fact, my 13.5 dedicated car is using the 3mm foam chassis plate, not the 2.5mm lipo, and the car has been awesome.

All you would need, in addition to the kit, is springs (393gm, 367gm, 306gm, and 289gm) and a spool. It's a lot cheaper going this route than buying the rubber car and getting the foam carbon parts (chassis and top deck), but to each his own. Either way will work.

The parts I usually break when I clobber stuff are caster blocks and steering blocks. You might want to get some rear hubs too, but if you put a set screw in the hole that's not used, you shouldn't have any problems.

I keep on asking this question and nobody has really answered the question, they tell me to put the string on put not how to be sure its balanced. Thanks
It's easy, lift the car off the table fully loaded with wrenches or string. SLOWLY lower the car back down until the tires start to touch. If one side touches before the other, add/move weight to the lighter side. I did my car this way, simple!

This is with the weight tray full of lead (about 63 grams) and 21 grams of lead spread up the center of the car. If most of you have the weight setup that way, you should be fine.
Are you two still planning to attend the Novak? I'm hoping to make it myself.

Hey Rick... We never really planned to go to the Novak. At this point, we're just getting into doing testing with the new Tekin software for 13.5 and getting some track time with Mod for Snowbirds. We have a lot to learn with all this wonderful HP.

Gotcha, I'm needing the track time myself. Mod should be fun with all of us 'regular' guys running it this year.
