TOP low friction belts. I don't have any issues with tension. Drivetrain spins very smooth as well.

Can any of the team drivers explaine how to balence a ProTon from side to side? I was told to put 2 strings in both ends of the shock towers, so I did that, put my weight on the car and when I lift the car by the strings looked balenced but how can I be sure, I know the car was properly designed to be balanced without buying 4 corner scales. I keep on asking this question and nobody has really answered the question, they tell me to put the string on put not how to be sure its balanced. Thanks

If your car hangs level using the strings, or hex wrenches, you are in the right ballpark. Scales are the only way to ensure you are balanced at all four corners. Once you have the car balanced evenly, you can use a tweak board to verify correct pressure at all four corners. As far as being within 2-3 grams, you'll need scales. I use hex wrenches and a tweak board. Hope that helps.

I'm not saying its a bad thing just saying it isn't absolutely necessary to have a good car.

I agree with you. Unless the car is way out, I've never felt the difference in a few grams.

I'm with Larry on this one too. I haven't balanced a car either. In fact, just a few weeks ago, Mike Hanulec had a scale setup to check his T3 since it was freshly built. I put my car on just to see it if was way off... and to my surprise was dead on the money. This is with the weight tray full of lead (about 63 grams) and 21 grams of lead spread up the center of the car. If most of you have the weight setup that way, you should be fine.

i was surprised as to how optimized it was . the rear weight balance on your cars is interesting to me.

I balanced the car left/right by moving the Lipo out to the edge of the chassis and using 2 x 5g weights inside it to stop it moving in.

When hanging it from two hex drivers through the shock towers, it's balanced. I did put it on a tweak station to double check corner weights, but it didn't need any adjustment. I'm impressed with the balance of the car as our weight limit here is 1350. The car weighed in at 1370 with a GM speedo which is quite heavy compared to some out there.

Questions??

So thinking about buying a Photon for Indoor Carpet only. Which one should I get and why?

Also what parts should I invest in other than the obvious arms and caster blocks?
