Is the Foam top deck just the one with the extra braces front and rear?

It was the best car I have ever driven on rubber tire carpet. I even rolled it once from tapping a flapper on my 2nd tq run lost 3 seconds and was still able to get Tq by almost a second.

My foam car was also the best foam car I have had in a long time if not ever, especially at those speeds, I had the tq after 3 rounds but Robbie also being super fast was able to snatch it away in the 4th round. I was leading that race too but got sucked into the flapper and spun around and lost it to him. Either way the car was capable of winning both classes.

Lets just say my mechanic(me) screwed up the prep of my rubber car due to tiredness before the main and it cost me what would of been a great win.

In foam I was too agressive early in the race and it cost me bigtime. Oh well I live and learn from my mistakes.

Either way the car made a great impression on many people and I think like Jason said there are many big wins to come for the Photon and Top.

We'll get that Foam setup online soon. And the rubber setup should get anyone on med/high bite close to being dialed.

Definitely a good performance congrats to you and Jason for all the hard work!

I was testing my car last Saturday and Sunday and wow what a great car.
My Photon has no grip roll and flies over the track.
Very stable and a lot of corner speed.

Saterday I had the 3th time in the 10,5 Lipo class and after some small changes with my tires and setup, my car became faster and faster.
My lap times went down and down. I changed to Speedtech for my tires and that made me Sunday the fastest on the track.
The nr 2 of last year was the day before a bit faster but Sunday I got my lap times lower and I was setting the fastest lap times of the day and the 3th fastest of the weekend.
Now I'm going to change the tires and I'm going to use Speedtech instead of Jack the Gripper.
I also changed my gearing on my motor and this Saturday I'm going to test it.
Sunday is the first race of the Fun drive.
I have a good feeling that it will be an A final again.
I hope that I can improve and do better than last year. I was 6th in total last year. Now I'm going to try to get in to the top 5.

Wow! Lots going on here lately!

Congrats to Larry and Jason at the classic! Looks like the Photon will make a rug muncher yet.

Im at Trackside this week testing some stuff. The grip is great as there having been having some good crowds. (A-D mains in TC)

Ive never been one to just copy set-ups as I believe driving styles dictate a drivers set-up needs. However i just reviewed Larry's posted rubber set-up and compared it to were Im currently set and guess what. Waaayyy similar!

If you dont already have the 2.5mm "foam" chassis for your rubber car,,, get one. Also pick up the heavier top deck and the u-shaped bulkhead braces. Put this stuff on you car, make at least most of your settings match the posted set-up and you will be 90% there. The other 10% percent will be making those tiny changes to better suite your driving style.

Ill have a finished set-up to post tonight Im sure and Ill post in when I return home.

I imagine he's talking about the extra hard wings. They have a U shape.

Agree. The worst part about this car is that I've only got one.

the U shaped ones Q is referring to are the medium wings. They are out of stock with TOP (Japan) at the moment I believe, but maybe the carpet wings are worth a try in the mean time
