Hi Marcel, post your setup in a setup sheet.

I use this Sunday a Photon from a club member.
He can't be there and I broke my last C Hub on my Scythe.
Wednesday I will drive the car to see if the setup is ok for me.
Most of it is my setup on it but he is an other driver than I'm.

The week after the race my Photon comes to me!!
Also TOP lipo's will come.

In October we go with 3 TOP Photon drivers to Belgium to race there this winter. All 3 a Photon and all 3 a Tekin speedo.
We must use there a LRP X11 10,5 motor. 2 of us use TOP lipo's the other driver a IP lipo.
Can't wait till it's so far. I look forward to the Races because here we have Sunday our last Club race and last year I was with my Scythe 6th total and I hope to improve my result.
2 times B finale and 3 times A final. i want to try to get everything in the A final.

Dennis - you had a great run in the 17.5T Rubber A-main --- you were the fastest car on the track in the main popping your 11.2 on your 20th lap.

Congrats on the W there Mike!

As for my fellow TOP drivers, good job guys. I really wish I could have been there. It sounds like the race was huge learning experience as the Photon hasn't seen much action on high bite surfaces.

As soon as Horsham opens again, which it will soon, Larry and myself will have some real time to test everything and get some really good carpet setups to the masses. I really can't wait.

I would love to hear some feedback from those who got to run their Photons at Vegas.

I hear there was some pushing going on all across the team for the rubber guys. Stiffer chassis in order?

well the pushing was caused by swollen orings in the shocks, fairtrace and ej were having pushing problems that were resolved instantly when the oring that swelled up were found to cause and instast fix.

to explain fairtrace and my car were identical i mean exactly copied except for servo and motors and maybe bearings and handled totally different from each other after the fix they were exact again it was weird but just dont use motor spray and your fine by default i was out when i built my shocks and i just dumped them and added new stuff and mine was fine.the setup i ran on my car which proved to be real good was fairtrace's setup and my fast lap was quick along with my top 5 avg and top 10 avg so i had a good car just my bobbles dropped me down the line some so all in all i do think the cars performed way better then it showed but still a good weekend for the newest car in the mix so to speak

i think there is great potential for a stellar car here and by meeting with Vincent and knowing josh and ej personally i feel very confident that the few very small blemish will be cured fast and the car will be just as dominant as any other car take for instance the drive cups i have seen plenty of abuse on them and not as much of a wirnkle in the finish let alone any wearing out prematurely

cant wait to run again now

Oh and on the chassis i do know after i ran the chassis some of the team guys did switch, but then again thats nothing new for me i ran a 2.5 quasi BMI Jeff Cuffs edition solid chassis(no battery slots) on my corally in rubber at the snowbirds and was the only privateer to make the show so i guess us rookies have some input after all lol

I would but I'm traveling for work this week... I'll get my setup posted when I can.

Hi Guys,
I've encounter a slight problem which i still can't solve. Hope someone could give me some help plus explaintion why.

OK here goes.

I've been running my top photon with 11.5T speedpassion brushless and with Sorex 40R wheels on my local track, everything was tip top goes wherever i want it to but recently i have to change the tires to Solaris Hard as it is the controlled tires used in our local Races and i've totally lost grip to the rear. Sliding in every corner.

Any recommanded ways to solve this problem (except to change the tires)
I've tried every trick in my book but still to slide. Lose the front grip i drift out too much.

I can only speak for myself...I ran a setup almost identical to EJ and Juan and experienced no pushing. If anything I had too much steering. The car was great and I couldn't ask for anything better. I did have 1 issue were the car seemed to develop more traction as the heat went on. I started 1 qual out of the gate with 11.2 and was down to 11.5 11.6 by the end. As I stiffened the car it seemed to help just ran out of time as I made small changes to not mess up a very good setup.
