I would still suggest getting the new spool with aluminum outdrives when it is available E.J.s been having no issues with it at all

I guess I should have said I found them at a little local mom and pop hardware store, not a major chain . I needed them when I was building an RC airplane a while back.

I'm going to make a Spliff with blades for my photon.
I hope that they make a set of those double cvd's for it too...
or whatever they are called.

Double cardan joint. We dont have CVDs with any kit out there...

Ok , you lost me there. Maybe I just woke up or something.
I don't mind getting them separate (ala carte) But I need them to fit with out having to re-engineer the front end.
I WANT them on my car either way!

Really the only difference between our supposed CVDs and Universals, is how they wear. Universals last longer.

Actually CVD's where the drive cup is on the shaft is more efficient than a universal. And a CVA has the cup on the axle is even more efficient. But the Double Cardan totally get rid of drive line loss and for the front end that has to point the gun and pull it .. its very important.
