Cool Receiver vs booster !

Any racer running 12th scale or 10th pan at IIC in Vegas. What system are you using for the 1C batteries. I've heard that a receiver pack may be more reliable and provide more overall power than using the voltage booster.
Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Max, I think at our level it's just a matter of personal preference. I don't see one or the other making a noticable difference.

In my experience theres less of a drop off if you use a receiver pack

Jason, I agree that the reciever pack scheme would use less main battery power but do you think it is really significant? How many Mah's are you using in a run from your reciever pack?

Now are we to the point where we are worried about which servos and recievers are the most efficient?

The hell with efficiency, I'm still going to run headlights just because I can. I probably won't win but my cars will look good.

See Ya'll there and we can hash this out over a beer.

I am running the booster in both 1/12th mod and 10.5 wgt. I haven't had any problems and have not noticed a "drop off".

I've been running a booster for 2+ months in 17.5 and 13.5 12th as well as 13.5 WGT and haven't seen a drop off. I ran a receiver pack for 2 months before that too for comparisons sake fwiw. Here's a stock main with about a .3's difference from first to last laps.

This is a statement sent out by the city of Las Vegas

It has been brought to our attention that Charlie Suangka and his band of merry men will be in town the week of September 7th. We have decided to impose some guidelines for him and his band of merry men during their stay. The following items will not be tolerated during his stay.

1. No begging the working girls on the street to hang out, just to make it look like you have a hot date.
2. No licking the butts of the girl statue in front of the Riviera.
3. No swimming in the fish tank at the Silverton Hotel.
4. No running through the Bass Pro shop yelling “wiggle worm”
5. No jumping the fountains at Caesars with a tri cycle
6. No impersonating a cabana boy at the Hard Rock, just to get a peak of the girl’s sun bathing topless.
7. No urinating off the roller coaster deck of the Stratosphere.
8. No pan handling on Fremont Street for pennies to play the penny slots.
9. No dressing up like a parrot, and try to tell the door man at Margaritaville your Jimmy Buffet
10. No dressing up as Captain Jack and attempt to high jack one of the ships outside TI.

Just remember what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas, just ask OJ.
