just read that article and noticed how long it would take to go around sanding down the graphite and then CA the edges, and resand it. what i do is just take the new chassis, run a bead of thin CA and go around for about 3-4 coats. drying each coat before applying the next. then take 600grit sand paper and sand the edge smooth, then apply more CA, 2-3 coats. then resand untill you have a smooth rounded edge. once you have a nice smooth round edge, run a very very thin layer of CA just to make it shine or leave it matte. its a lot better working with CA dust than carbon dust. and it just works the same! i have lots of head on colision on my 12th scale and the CA edge is still intack.

Graphite prep
I've never found it to be of any benefit to prepare the graphite as per instructions below. I always take a fine round file over the work sink to take off sharp edges than wet sand (under running water) with coarse(400) emery paper.
