Novak GT7 Or LRP Quantum Competition 2

Hey, i just want to get your opinion about both of these speed control. I am in the market for a new one. GT7 or QC2 what do you guys think? i am going to be running stock and maybe some 19turn on a very tight onroad indoor track.

I'd go for the quantum since it's newer but that's just me.

snoboardin 11-18-2003 07:27 PM

i think the qc2 is waterproof too :D

trueracefan 11-18-2003 07:37 PM

How much space in your car do you have for it?

losi4life 11-18-2003 07:42 PM

they are both on the smaller side but the q2 will be smaller

Omar 11-18-2003 07:45 PM

its going to go in my tc3

trueracefan 11-18-2003 07:49 PM

depending on your reciever size I would probably go with the quantum 2 for low CG. in my tc3 the gt7 and the reciever cant both be taped to the chassis.

Im considering going for a quantum over my curent GT7 . I like the GT 7 heaps but i think i want to to try the Quantum.

And in regards to waterproof what the heck for who puts the car in to 3 foot of water.:weird:

Regards

i was thinking about using the novak synthesized xxtra for my reciever

trueracefan 11-18-2003 08:01 PM

I think that reciever is about as large as mine

The waterproofing is for wet weather racing. Some circuits actually race when it is raining.

Plus if you accidentally drive your car through a small puddle, or it goes out of control you wont fry your esc and have $150 down the tubes.

A waterproof ESC could really come in handy in Europe.

Chrisgt2 11-18-2003 09:52 PM

Ummm.......lets think logically here.......if its waterproof that must mean its dirt proof too.......so everyone can benefit from the Q2 being watertight

:weird:

i could go for the Q2 other thank GT7..first, it looks so much cooler! chrome blue vs orange? like..COME ON! also, Q2 is newer and smaller, good for ppl who has space problem in their car, ie, 12th scale.

the waterproof is nice too, not like were gonna go driving in the rain, but who knows,
