Novak GT7 Or LRP Quantum Competition 2
#16
I have the GT7 and the original quantum. I think the main thing to consider is size. Although if weren't for the big capacitor, I think I like the GT7 better as it just seem more smooth to me for some reason.
Also consider NOSRAM dominator. I've seen it for around $100, heck lot cheaper than the quantum but essentially the same item in different packaging.

Also a really good thing about the QC2 is that through associated(in USA) it has a lifetime warranty (says the ad in RCCA mag) so if anything happens to it they will repair/replace it for free. Plus it has lots of extra features, such as reactive software, Digital Engine Mapping System 2 (DEMS-2), Adjustable punch, inital and auto brake, and auto start.

I've had the QC2 for about 4 months now, very small but i'm thinking of getting the GM-SW12W. It's about the same size as the LRP but with a few more features.

Alot of the drivers in Japan use the sx-9 and sx-12 i believe.
I haven't played too much with the settings as it is running pretty good as is.
I was tossing up between the lrp and sx-12, and finally went with the sx-12, as it was recommended by a few people here in Japan.
Check out their homepage. They don't have the esc listed as a product, but you can go to downloads section and get the manual..

I haven't ever had a LRP but am very happy with my GT-7 and Novak's customer support is the best. A couple people a while back got burned by LRP's "Limited Lifetime Warranty" thinking it was lifetime, when in actuallity it's just a 30-90 day or so warranty from manuf defects and that sort of thing.

SOrry to bring the old thread up again, I am also in the hunt for a new ESC and am considering the QC2, GT7 and Futaba 800.
While I was leaning towards the QC2, MANY people told me the problem with its consistency, saying that many of they got fried!! Maybe problems with different batches!?
Anyone had any problems with QC2? What's ya experience with the 3 speedos?
Thanks yall
