In regards to the foam cushion inside the shocks on top of the bladder, is there any reason why people leave them out sometimes?

Pretty sure its 'cos they make it difficult to obtain little to zero rebound.

Hi Ronald,
do you use suspension ball joints as is or reduce excess play?
I found that in BD5 it's a little bit more compare to others chassis.

I´m not Ronald, but my setup is identical from your, with only a minor change in rear RC, i put 1 mm in and 0.5 out ( in camber link) or 2 - 0.5, when i need to react quicker i put a yokomo springs Green - pink, sometimes a litle thin oil.
In bumpsteer i always use 0 mm.
Greetings, Luis C.
