hi guys,
been drivin the bd5w now for 3 race meetings and it performed very well. however, at the last meeting one question came up which i couldnt answer. as far is i know the bd5w has a 2.5mm lower deck. which is rather thick compared to a 416 with 2.25 and a schumacher mi4lp with 2mm lower deck (xray 2.5mm) however, the most setups i have seen for the bd5w a rather "hard" meaning mostly with pink/silver hpi springs for similar yokomo springs. i have also looked at the xray setups on their hp and they all drive very soft springs like hpi blue at the hardest. could this be linked to the lower deck thickness/flex? and if yes, how come almost every setup for the bd5 is with pink/silver springs and not for example yokomo pink/yellow?? thanks for any help on this.
cheers

Hi all;
Already test the BD5W and the difference with my other chassis ( a Mi4Lp) is incredible , has more stering, is faster and more stable, really a very good chassis.
Does anyone have news about the Gear Diff of Yokomo?
Or maybe they can adapt the TOP without too much problem.
Greetings

I got back into touring and drove my BD 5W this weekend at my local track (blue diamond in Delaware, USA). The car was awesome, I was using a Trinity Duo 10.5 and was easily was the fastest there. Many were running 4.5, 6.5's We didn't have a organized race since it had rained several times throughout the day.
I have the servo mounted on the two sided tape and even though this works well, I was concerned about it coming loose. Has anyone had any problems with the servo coming loose??

about the springs i found the HPI works better in indoor/carpet races. On the asphalt i use the yokomo springs (basic start for me is always blue/pink)
Anyway after some test i solved my chronic understeer, yesterday my car was perfect; has been the second fast car as best lap but the best car as lap time during the finals when the grip is went down. Often 0,5/0,7s per lap respect to the media of the other cars. Incredible corner speed and agility into the tech part of the track.
