The thing with the xenon tires is that they are HUGE.
Which means the sidewall can build up a lot of traction.
This is why you CA it.
if you put a lot of shims under the front inner ballstud the CA edge is reached faster when the car rolls and this this stops the car from traction rolling.
That is called "the edge theory" :-)
you usually get maximum traction with 1.5 - 2mm under the front inner ballstud. which is what I use most of the times. unless the car is traction rolling ofcourse.

Would a better way to explain the shims under the front inner link be less camber gain. More shims = less camber gain. So like what Martin said, you reach the CA faster on the sidewall. With less shims, you have more camber gain, so the car will roll more before you reach the CA. That would be my take on it.

Well I raced my bd5 at my local carpet track in Horsham pa last night I didn't do as good as I expected(tq'ed the B main). I was basically running martins latest setup and tried changing springs(front gold to front pink). I also changed shock top position to no avail. The car kind of pushed entering the corner an a little on exit. We all run Jaco blues as tires. In the main the car got better but started to traction roll. I didn't glue the sidewalls because it was pushing in the heats. Everyone I talked to including Larry Fairtrace and Jason Schreffler told me I needed 6 degree blocks. I was wondering:
1 what everyone felt about 6 degree blocks. Also does anyone know if any other manufacturers blocks fit.
2. Is the anything more I can do to get more entry steering without traction rolls.

then use the one where I used sorex tires in ingolstadt (big very technical track) I posted not too long ago

OK Martin thanks!. I'll give it a try next week. Just in case I was able to rig up a set of Pro4/Cyclone 6 degree caster blocks in case that doesn't work. They actually work with just a few mods.
