Hi,

I' m new in this forum I discovered a few days ago, I fell happy to see there are a lot of informations about BD5 because I just bought a BD5 WR a few days ago.
I choiced WR because I think it better on outdoor ( most of the time I drive) and because I LOVE its look.

But I think I need too WS parts for indoor?

WR chassis is for low grip ? and WS chassis is for high grip, ? Do I am right?

I tried to order all the parts of a ball diff but I think something strange, on the BD -500 part there is only one ball bearing instead of 2 needed???

I read you use a lot HPI springs, please why more HPI than Yokomo springs?
And I prefer to use 48 DP so do you know if it's possible to use X ray spur gear?

I'm sorry for my bad English that I will try to increase.

@NICO, I use the Xray spur gears on my BD5WR but you can only use 2 screws intead of 4 to hold it, but it good enought for me...I never had any problems and I also use the Xray spring as well instead of HPI.

the screws are across so it's pretty balance, i'm not sure if yokomo make 48pitch spurs, but xray 48Pitch spur should fit just fine.

As anyome already orderded a ball diff please because among parts needed there are BD-500 ( alu outdrives ) and ONLY one ball bearing seems to be with it instead of 2 needed?

are these bearings the same than on the X ray ball diff please?

HI, if u order the alum diff, it;s only come with 1 internal bearing.
..it's need 2 pcs.

u can use XENON Spur which can fit nicely into the direct main gear adapter of bd5..

thank you for your answer, so I need an other bearing but in the BD5 manual, intern diameter of the bearing is not told, if it is 2,5mm it's like the Xray T3 so all right

where to buy Xenon spurs please?

I need BB-85-4 bearing and 84 teeths spur gear in 48DP and 87 teeths too, always in 48 DP

The highest you can use is a 82t (48dp) because when you go bigger the teeth will come under the bottom of the chassis and will touch the ground.
