I just converted my bd5 into a World Edition and I found it has heaps more steering than a bd5p.

I would not get the Aluminium c-hubs as they will just bend in a hit. Get the plastic ones. The ones that come in the kit are graphite, there are more prone to snapping/splitting in a crash Go the plasic

The bearings are flipped. So it still acts like a 1-way.

Yep for sure.

I ran my car again today, went reasonably well. I broke the track record today by 2 seconds (my previous own). I was suffering some high speed push and i was struggling to get rid of some rear grip so it definatly can go faster. Loving the car so far

Hey guys,

I have a first issue BD5, and I'd like to know if the BD5W is really much better. I am being offered a good deal from HobbyHaven c/o Elwyn for the conversion kit.

Also, how different is the BD5W setup from the regular BD5? I wrecked my car many times finding the right one, hehehe

The BD5W is a lot better for me. It has more grip and more overall steering. Setup wise, i have found i am making the car more aggressive compared to the older car to get rid of the extra traction. I am using the same springs and oil all round, and another thing i am going to try is raising the inner rear camberlink.

The shocks use the YS7HG blue o-rings, but do not have the YS-8HD Shock bladders. The shocks only use 1 blue o ring in the bottom cap, so they have the BD-S2B instead.

Hope that helps
