I have been running mine for the last few weeks. It's quite nice out of the box, great general grip and works on a much better on a big variety of surfaces (About the same on Bitumen tracks but much better on Painted surfaces). There is more roll in the new car so in general you need heavier springs than you did in the standard 5. I recommend using MOSTLY kit setup Except for.....

Use 8mm Steering Rack
500wt Oil
HPI Silver Front Springs
HPI Blue rear springs
3.0 deg rear toe

also try running just a tiny bit higher than your previous setups, with the additional roll it responds well to a nice high ride height. I also found rear camber on this car is happy at around 2 degrees as opposed to the old 1.5.

That's about the best advice I can give....

Humble Amateur

I ran my car yesterday. It went really well besides my spool coming apart Shows i should have loctied it A tip for everone else

Overall the car had tons of grip and steering. I almost broke the track record yesterday, (my previous own) with my Xray T3, so very happy for its first day

Also jordan is very correct in what he is saying with the new car. Attatched is my setup from my racing.

Does the 42mm front sus mounts come with the kit? Or the kit comes with 43.5mm front sus mount instead?

Jochim_18,

Please feel free to contact me for more info on the BD5W.

Our spec for the BD5W is come with front spool, instead of one way.

Cheers
