Thumbs down $289.99??? I Sure Hope Not!

This seems like blatant price-gouging for this kit. I sure hope the price goes down as we get closer to the release date.

This seems like a better deal:

Hopefully this is one of those cases where Tower drops the price when they get them in stock.

i talked to a local hobby shop owner here.. he told me $165-$185. the kit that is $185 comes with a more expensive body (i forgot which one he told me though. )

so the price will be higher. why Tower Hobbies is priced so much higher. I don't know.

I dont think Tower likes to take pre-orders. When the Associated SC10 was finally posted it was around $250 while everyone else $180. They now have it down to $194 with a discount code its now lower than anyone else.

And it isn't even optimized... or luxurious...

But it is an HPI, which is the true name of evolutionary and innovation when comparing it to Hudy who has abused the two words over and over again. Yet, I love his cars.

Hypocracy can be so awesome sometimes.

Ok Harry we get it...this is probably the tenth post in as many threads (not counting the dozen or so in the XRay pan car thread) where you ride XRay/Hudy over the use of those words, then go on to state that you are such a hypocrite because you just bought a 009. It's one-note dude...move on. Next time I see one it will be reported because what you are doing is considered harrassing and jacking up your post count.

On-topic...I like this little ride and Tower will no doubt drop the price once they are in stock. This would make a cool little spec racer provided the plastic in the kit is tough enough to take the abuse of racing.

Geez, how come theres always someone making a post about Tower pricing before it even is in stock.

I estimate $180-190 at Tower when its actually in stock.

$209 is still too much... even after some creative use of Tower coupon codes.
