Post Need help with an old school Tekin ESC

My cousin was given an old school Tekin electronic speed control.

Does anyone have info or specs on it?

All I know is it has a red case. He says its a Tekin Pro Tempfet.

He basically wants to know how hot a motor he can use with it.

If anyone has an old Tekin castalog and can post info, it would be greatlyl appreciated. thanks

hi HPIRACER310,

Do you know what is on the label? It could be 410S.As far as i know it can handle to ard 16 turns with no worries. It has 4 wires coming out from the ESC and has a fuse protection on it. I still have one still working for me.

Try take a look at the label or decal on the ESC see what it say.
Hope this help.Sorry i do not have any pics of my esc.

Cheers...

Any time...

Btw could it be a Novak? Most of their casing were orange in colour...and tekin made only one red casing.most were black ones.As u mention pro tempfet, now i can think of is novak...
it could be a T1 to any early 90's novak esc.

Hope you find out what Esc is that soon.

Cheers...

Tekin Pro TempFET doesn't help too much since they all said that.

Basically the hottest motor at the time was a 12 turn used with 7 cells for mod racing. Those would be the limits.

again, thanks for the info guys.

Here's more info my cousin gave me:

nope it's not...it just says it's a tekin pro tempfet or pt for short...it's red...has tamiya plugs for battery and motor and has an on/off switch.

Arecee,
Thanks for your input.
