Hi

I have a brushless motor where the winds desoldered, i have resoldered using some 60/40 solder, yet everytime it heats up now, it desolders. What solder do they use inside these motors that can withstand heat?, is it some lead free solder, like 97% tin or such?

It's a high temperature solder. The typical 60/40 or lead free solders we're using melt at a much lower temperature.

Also if it has become desoldered, its probably overheated the wire in the windings and thus burned some insulation and now is slightly shorted out and will now forever overheat. It may still work but it would still be considered stuffed if it is getting very hot all the time now.

If it is truly just a soldering condition, use solder with low lead content. I believe Silver solder has a higher melting point.

If your "brushless motor" is a Trinity Pulse model, than you will not likely be able to correct the issue, Trinity's supplier tried twice already. If it is another motor, than you probably have a motor problem that will require replacement.
