I am currently pondering the Turbo35. Any other suggestions?

I have not seen either one of them. I am looking for a charger that will also discharge at least 20 amps.

Do you have links for either one of them?

The one advantage that the 35 has over the GM is that it has the ability to run the lathe.....

OUTofCONTROL, that GM charger has a motor function. Go to GM-racings web-site and click on detail 2 after you select what charger to look at. I would've copy/pasted all the specs about it but GM's web site has a block on that.

FYI, the new line of integy 16x5BL, and 16x9 chargers will cycle packs at a 20 amp discharge rate, has NiCad and NiMH modes, will run your lathe, another charger, or a dyno. They are a very easy to use, and a good value for the dollar. www.integy.com

OoC: have you tried going straight to the Integy site that hobbipro has listed below. They have all their chargers listed as INSTOCK. Including the 16x5, even the one with the powersupply.

you can't directly hook up a motor to any of the integy chargers, you'll still have to use their dyno to power up your lathe.

i have a 16x5 and i have been very satisfied w/ this product, and the aesthetics aren't bad either.

out of control: if money is no object, go for the turbo35...i just ordered one fr. sheldon's last tuesday, i should get it early next week. there is a thread somewhere on this website that compares and contrasts just about every high-end charger available... that's how i settled on the turbo35bl. the threads about 5-6 pages, but the posts are quite informative.

if you still haven't had any luck finding a 16x5 or 16x9, try www.socalraceway.com or www.integy.net.

A couple of thoughts..... remember that the Integy 16x5 automaticly trickel charges your pack after peak, and you cant disable this feature.... my LHS stopped selling integy chargers after having a lot of failures, but that could have been just a bad lot of chargers. I just got back from the Novak race and the overwhelming charger of choice was the Turbo 30/35 for racers that had a choice. Guys that are sponsered by Novak etc run their sponsors chargers. Another thing to consider is that the Turbo is built in the USA and serviced in IL. and you can always reach a live person during business hours.
