Default CRC 1/12 Competitive

I want to get in to 1/12 scale. This will be my first 12th scale and onroad car. Would the CRC Carpet Knife be a good starting point and will it be competitive at the club level. Also what would be some other cars to look at?

Yes a well setup CK can be competitive at the club level; that said I'd look to find a BMI DB12R, great car for most beginners as it does'nt suffer the tweak issues most other 1/12 car encounter. Alot of peeps try 1/12 and quit because thay have trouble setting up the car and tweak is a major issue, much more so than with a TC.

with out a doubt a carpet knife will run with any other car at a club level right now but if you can fid the generation x version go with that hands down the easiest car to set up and run
