When is that Porsche 935 body going to be released?? Is it pre-painted? How does it fit on the cup racer chassis?

Should be out next month, Porsche final paperwork etc... It is a clear body, although the Silver "Martini" livery is only a 2 color paint job (silver, orange).

It fits perfectly on the Cup Racer...

We will be receiving general stock of Mini X-Patterns at the end of next month.
They will be the same as the previous Mini X-Patterns:
#4560 X-Pattern Radial Mini Tire (B15-40)
#4565 X-Pattern Radial Belted Mini Tire (B15-40)

West Coast RC Raceway Saturday race night/Sunday practice observations, tips, fyis etc....

West Coast RC Raceway is a high bite large sized indoor asphalt track.

The Porsche body not only looks great but ran pretty well also.

Best Cup Racer tire combo was #100630 MX60 SLICK TIRE S rear and #100628 MX60 SLICK TIRE M on the front. The soon to be available (again) Mini X-Patterns also ran really good!

The FRONT SHOCK TOWER (WOVEN GRAPHITE/ 3.0mm) helped out a lot as it provided a more upright front shock position (used #2 pistons with 50wt AE oil). Installed them for Sunday practice session and wished I had them the night before for the race.

Used #87320 SHOCK SPRING SET (HARD/CUP RACER) springs (pink front and black rear)

Sway bar setup, #87598 SWAY BAR SET (FRONT/REAR/CUP RACER), gold front and silver rear

#87593 BALL DIFFERENTIAL SET (39T) in the rear.

The "S" tires came in a few weeks back and should be at the distributors if not at some shops already.

Rear ball diff.

No Pro4 mod, kinda don't want to revisit my Pro 4

ok, its not a 'mod' persay, but you can use the Pro4 diff gear instead of the metal gear and that bearing holder thingie

the older wheels have a smaller diameter...

plus its a different mounting system on the Cup Racer Rims versus the old mini rims and tamiya rims...

these tires mount like the vintage tires - that weird slot bead-thing instead of the large flat spot

Thanks for the setup tips AndyH.
Did you use the same shock oil and piston setup for the rear (#2 piston/50wt oil)?
thanks

I don't want to sound nit picky, but that's an RSR...I only point it out because doing a 935 is an awesome idea!

Yes, same, West Coast RC Raceway is pretty high bite.

Tried that setup on a loose parking lot, doesn't work quite so well. Probably would need to be softer.
