First post!
I have a 510 on the way! Should be here tomorow and I can't wait to start building! I've been drooling over the cup racer since it was announced and its finally time to get one.
Just want to say, there are some good looking rides on here, great job everyone!
I've read through almost this whole thread in anticipation of my project, taking notes on what to look out for and what to pay close attention to while building. Thanks to everyone for the tips and pointers!

I just sold my M04 and picked up the Cup Racer. Will use the 510 as the runner and when stored, will have the Tamiya Alfa Romeo GTA on it. I can't bring myself to run the Alfa body.. I wish Tamiya would stop being lame and put the body kit back into production.. they sell the kit but not the body..
My next bodies will be the ABC Hobby Celica 1600 and HPI Porsche 911 RSR.
I hope HPI starts making to some vintage Italian race bodies like Alfa 1750 GTAM with fender flares, Lancia Fulvia, Fiat Abarth 600, and how about a Ferrari GTO swb! Nice

Here are the part numbers for the Hot Bodies D4 WCE Diff
Currently there is not a complete set with a single part number
Also the diff below is made for the D4 WCE Offroad Race Buggy so a tad overkill for the Cup Racer. Although you will most likely never break a diff screw since it has the oversized diff screw and metal diff halves.
etc...
(working on more Cup Racer specific parts )
In the meantime for the ultimate super CR diff:
#61538 DIFFERENTIAL SCREW/HEAVY-DUTY NUT SET (2.6mm)
#61148 DIFF THRUST WASHER 2.8x5.8x1mm (2pcs)
#61149 DIFFERENTIAL THRUST BALL 1/16"
#B130 BALL BEARING 10x15x4mm (RUBBER SHIELD/2pcs)
#Z892 WASHER 10x12x0.2mm (10pcs)
#Z891 WASHER 10x12x0.1mm (COPPER/10pcs)
#61450 DIFFERENTIAL CUP JOINT SET
#A164 DIFFERENTIAL RING (13x19mm) (2 pcs)
#61433 BEVEL GEAR SET (39T/16T)
#A157 CARBIDE DIFFERENTIAL BALLS (3/32 ) 2.4mm (12 pcs)
#A165 SPRING 6x7x1.5mm (DIFFERENTIAL) BLACK (2 pcs)
Thanks,
AH

Any option to the front drive shaft cup/holder? the plastic 'nipples' and the metal 'nipples' don't always like playing together nice and the plastic ones break...
the is the plastic piece that hold the drive shaft and connect to the front diff bevel gear
a metal one like the one in the rear would be nice - or else a composite bevel gear that would work in the car

The spacers lower the bottom chassis plate when you use large diameter, 60mm tires. If you're using the smaller 55mm tires like the RP or HPI ones then leave the spacer off.
Hope this helps!
