Sounds good racenut. More incentive for me to get one.

So when is the official release date? I get answers like "It'll be here when it's here" from LHS and online retailers.

I just finished building the new hpi cup racer, I am impressed with the design and parts fitting are excellent as usual. The car look really good and I am looking forward in running it once my local track is ready.

Kudos to HPI.

Bring yours out to Ray Murray's race in August I'm planning on getting one as soon as they are available and plan to run it at the Challenge

Would be nice to see the Mini class running again!

You got that right...I can't wait to get an "available" date for these things...

I'll have mine at the Challenge

I wonder what the HPI Challenge rules will be

As far are motors - I'd look to see what your local track is running and then go from there I saw your post in the Generic thread and from what I was reading, they are running the silver can 540 motors..

I'm not sure what the motor rules are going to be for the Cup Racers at the HPI Challenges, but I'm hoping like a 27t/17.5 motor

The new Tekin RS esc are good (granted I'm biased ) and they can do both brushed and brushless motors..plus they have a very small footprint (which would workout great in this chassis) and it don't need a fan, for most motors setups, like some of the other esc's require - you can probably find a good used one for a good price

Default +1 on the Triumph body...

but make mine a TR250, old school charm plus the big six motor...

+1 to a Fiero too...make it an '84 model and throw in one of the proportional smoke generators us tank guys use and you could build a true-to-scale pre-recall model, lol

Gimmie a Diamler SP250...nuthin' like a Hemi powered catfish...

Cunningham C3 or C4...

a faithful AC Cobra--with the adjustable tread width you do an accurate FIA 289 car (the one that actually won the most races) AND the 427 car...

Lotus Cortina, 'nuff said.

'64 Falcon Rallye Sprint (look THAT one up, lol)

or, dare I invoke the sacred, (deep breath), XK120 Coupe...

or in lue of that a faithful Series 1 or 1.5 E-type (none of that 2+2 crap if Andy is listening)

ah well, a guy can dream...

Why don't the British make computers? Because they never found a way for them to leak oil...

Although I'm going up to Norcal Hobbies a bit more often now with my buggy.

If Norcal Hobbies lets us race these things, that would be awesome.
