(not to beat a dead horse), but still sad that these were discontinued after such a short production run.

I got about 2 season's worth of racing out of mine, now I have 2. One is a shelf queen, the other a parking lot basher which I drive quite often.

You can occasionally find the kits or shelf queen rollers on eBay. I found a shop that had a few kits in stock but has since sold out. It's too bad that HPI discontinued this kit, they've spent so much on the tooling only to cease production. I've bought into the Cup Racer only for one of the best Porsche bodies ever modeled in RC next to Tamiya's Taisan/PIAA 993 GT2 and Rothman's 959.

I'm buying a tamiya m-06 chassis with the Alfa Romeo GTA
is as close as I can be on this scale, then buy the body of the BRE Datsun 510 and so I can have it as real as possible with rear wheel drive

Hi Gang,

Long time no see! Out of love for this little car (I still have mine) I decided to put in a factory order for 50 of the front alloy drive cups. Hope to have them in stock next month for about $12ea.

Thx!

A picture with your post, when trouble shooting, will probably get more rctech help than without...

Hello,

First post here, I bought my Cup Racer 2 months ago (back to RC after a break of 10 years... first with a Savage XS, when I fell in love with cup Racer).
I did not have time to build it yet (still have building work at home), but the kit is here, with many options... the only one I wanted and did not find was cup racer alloy shaft... thanks a lot MikeR for this

And also thanks to everybody... I have read all pages of this topic with a great pleasure... hope to be able to show mine ASAP (unfortunately, not before July I think)

Thanks MikeR!! I was the guy that first sent you an email at Exotek a few months ago inquiring about this drive cup. There's a talented machinist in the UK that I connected with, his website: http://www.fulloption.co.uk/HPICupRacer.html
I was trying to get him to mfr this part, but he didn't want to do a small run of less than 20, but Thanks to you I will take one from you when they are once again available!
