Hey Raman, your 69 105 is a beautiful example. Congrats !

My fathers 58 Giulietta is a four not a six. Yes, i know, it raises the eyebrows of Alfa connoisseurs due to its rarity. Fwiw, my father is the second owner and has owned it since the mid sixties. I'm turning forty this year and have only been in it three times in my life. My father has promised its going to be all mine one day since i'm the only son

What classic Alfa bodies are available for the CR ? Any for my 210mm wheelbase ?

Thks Sydewynder.

If interested Raman i'll post up some modern pics of my fathers 58 spyder in a months time...maybe even upload a short video as its due to be fired up...my fire up duties involve spinning the back wheels when its up on jacks and the golden lodge plugs have been removed...hell of a workout when its in 2nd gear...the owner duties involve telling me to keep on spinning.

Default Gulia GTA

Tamiya has the Alfa on M06 chassis. I had the M04 before with the Alfa body. 60D tires work with this body, so that's a good thing.

Wait I'm confused... The white car in the photo in the previous page is not a Giulietta, it's the bigger brother 2000 series spider. The car in the video is a Giulietta and those were 4 cylinders.

When I bought my used cup racer the previous owner included a set of foam tires. He does not remember where they came from. they are on a set of split 5 spoke wheels. The wheels are black. they are 12mm hex. Does any one know who makes them. I can include some pics later if it helps. Thanks

My fathers Alfa looks like the Giulietta in the video but is a 2 litre 4 cyclinder. From memory i think it has both Carrozzeria Touring and Pininfarina badges on it. I don't know really that much more about it. I've been searching for similiar engine pics on the web but haven't found any. Hope this ends the confusion.

Nope, I looked at the exceed foams when I was searching for them. These are 1/12 scale. About the same size as the cup racer wheels. All the 1/12 scale foams I find are for pan cars.

Back in those days They were known for one offs and unique models.. As a result some fetch top dollar. There is a 105 GTV out there with factory electric sunroof.. Its the only one ever made..

The 58 2000 spider was touring. The coupe versione was bertone and the guilietta was pininfarina

True and thks for ending the confusion...now here's some info that might cause interest...back in the 80's my father was going to do a trade with Lionel Jones red Sportiva...yep...at the time the Sportiva i think was located in Kingsgrove -Sydney...my father didn't go down with the deal as the Sportiva was damaged and he was to attached with his pride and joy...the next time i visit my father i'll get some current pics and have a chat about the Sportiva deal for you...at the time i think the Sportiva was valued at $380,000-$500,000AU

ps sorry mods for discussing non rc openly

Cheers,

Brad

Just got this cup racer. Looks so sweet. While I am building this up, what Motor system do you recommend. I was looking at the Novak systems for 17.5 brushless. Should I go with GTB2 or Havoc 3s? Or should I avoid Novak all together?
