Has anybody used the Sweep tires and wheels with the CR? I hear the Atomic tires are great but I can't seem to find any spoked wheels for it. Our racing class is all about realism and we have to use spoked wheels.

I use ABC Hobby spoked wheels. Perfect fit with the Atomic tires.

This Thing is a BLAST!!!

Have a Tekin 13.5 RS combo in it, on a 2s lipo, and this lil sucker gets it.
When the turbo boost hits, its gone.

Altho, the Alu. axle cups from HR are a must.

Ill post better pics up tomorrow.
I have been hearing allot about this turbo feature on the Tekin ESC. Can you explain how that works? I went to the site and there is no mention.

look in this thread - http://www.rctech.net/forum/electric...sored-979.html - its loaded with info

basically, turbo is like a configurable 2nd gear on the speedo - its not the technical explanation of the function, but you get the idea

its been available since the v180something, perfected in v199, kicked up a notched in v200, and really put a hurting on things in v203

just read the thread, its way to complicated to explain and there are guys MUCH better equiped who can explain in it in there -- and i run for tekin

Pics of my CR.

Turns out i broke the out drive in the front gearbox (owner before me appears to broke one himself). Is this a common problem? I searched for an aluminum replacement and came out with nothing.

Yes, the gearbox outdrive is a very weak point.

I bought another rear metal outdrive and fitted it on the front with the upright shocks.
Holding up fine.

I too dont understand why nobody makes an ally replacement for this part

Daniel,
Your BRE 240Z looks better with the 225mm wheelbase as opposed to the 210mm.

Thanks for the pics!

Can you ask Atsushi if HPI will be making the front drive shaft cup in metal? Everyone has broken the stock plastic ones (the 3 teeth snaps off). I can't imagine his not being metal since he is running 13.5 with a SXX

Actually after looking at your pics, it does look like his are not stock. I hope HPI releases these asap if metal.

You guessed right, it's a steel cup. It seems to be a prototype part as well.
