Can I safely run 58T and 21T?
I have a very stock rc car (himoto/hsp/hispeed) with a stock 540 motor but someone has put a large diameter 26T on it and the car is quite slow in acceleration, well.. extremely slow lol. I also need to replace the connectors with deans as the bullet has opened up in one of the connectors and creating bad contact.
So can i run a normal size 21T pinion on a 58T spur without killing anything?
Thanks alot

I'm not familiar with those cars but it all depends on your motor temp. Investing in a little temp gun will help you a lot with learning gearing Keep the motor below 150*F or so and you won't smoke anything.

The heat gun is a good idea, thanks
Well, the car didn't really have a load on it but i ran it off the ground for about 4mins and everything was stone cold, appears the 21T meshes fine too.
Ran it for a bit on the ground but had other problems to which i'll create a new thread
Thanks for the reply
