Thanks for your help! Im running SMC 5200 40C Packs so they should go pretty good. Thinking about getting some intellects though. I don't usually go by rollout so you wouldn't know how to convert it to FDR?

Cheers

Default LRP SPX

Hello All,

I am new with SPX. Can someone tell me what the different profiles of the LRP SPX do ? How they work and what the result is on the motor (10.5). Or where can I find such info on the net ? All help is welcome. Thanks.

Tia.

Vote 1 SMC. Although i have 3 of these packs they like it when you use only one a day and just thrash the pack and recharge. Ive found rotating packs counter productive and the pack gets better after 2 or 3 runs. Weird

As for FDR and Roll out.

http://www.rcracing.com/Gear_Ratio_Program_1100.cfm

Add your details and 63mm tyre diameter and youll be set.

The higher the speed profile, more punch more speed. Please check your gearing & best to have motor heat sink with fan.

i rn indoors with a 10.5 Speed passion 3.0 and the SPX

we have a technical but flowing track with a 30m straight , and i run gearing of 105/37(trf416 with a final drive of 2.0556) on program 7

i added 2 teeth to the pinion to settle the car out of corners instead of going down a program because i still wanted the timing boost of program 7 , it works well for me

Hope this helps a little

Please correct me if I am wrong. I am new to electric - just got told the above mentioned.
Went racing at my local club last night. Ran the car in practice with a ratio of 6 (24/84), came off at 85deegrees, it hit top speed 2/3rd along the straight, catching cars in front but lacking the speed to get past them.
Dropped the ratio down to 5.6, car came off cooler (65 degreesC), quicker down the straight but lacked punch out of the corners. Went to up to 5.8, just as quick down the straight, had way more punch out of the corner, came off at 68degreesC.
Final run I went from setting 7 to 8, came off at 73degrees.

All in all, much better than it was before (90degrees C). Not running a fan. The brakes on the stock spec are immense, making loads of ground down the straight and on the brakes into the tight turn at the end. Shame the tyres have seen there best though.

if your gearing is correct on the straight you will see the car get like a second gear

i just altered the gearing to remove the agression from the motor on throttle out of slower corners

i believe the timing boost is only available in programs 7 and 8 but may be corrected

i find the car is more stable with this setting , i got the gearing spot on and then altered it by 2 teeth higher on the motor to tame it

Burney,

With my SPX on 8 and my Trinity Duo 13.5 set to the center timing, I run a 5.7 rollout on a similar track.

That was a nice race on youtube!

Cheers!

Default LRP SPX with Duo 2 10.5 1S lipo problems

Experiencing problems running a SPX with 1S lipo and DUO 2 10.5 Setup on SPX is 2,8,0,0 After a couploe of laps Esc basically shuts down. It has been suggested the profile 8 is too aggressive .
Tried same setup with Novak and no rpoblems.Anyone else experienced problems with profile 8 and DUO 2 motors.

As an after thought running a Novak booster.
