It's listed somewhere on their web site. That's where I found it when I had to call about my SPX replacement.

Hello everyone, quick question for anyone who knows.
I`m gonna be running the spx in a 12scale i cell lipo configeration.
In what profile do i run her? E.g in lipo mode or nimh mode?
Reason i ask is, a couple pages back i read that you had to run the spx in nimh mode, but why? Second, do the spx has a voltage cutoff?

nimh mode, settings will most likely be 2-8-1-1.
there is a lipo cutoff but for 2s 7.4v only, that's why you have to run the 1s 3.7v in nimh mode.

Any opinions on gearing and motor timing, for running this on 12th car, 1s lipo, 17.5 motor? Would you use 0, mid or high physical motor timing, with using profile 8 in ESC? Thanks!

Default Engine Supression

Just a quick question regarding engine supression capacitors.

When using the LRP Sphere TC spec on a brushed motor it states in the manual you should use engine supression capacitors. Unfortunatley I am having trouble finding these capacitors.. Is there a capacitor I could get from an electronics supplier.. Anyone know the specs on it?

Also are the capacitors needed on all brushed motors? I was going to sometimes run the ESC in 540 pro & Classics classes and in the manual it states the mabuchi motor needs a capacitor on both the + and - would this be the same with a Johnson 540 J.. as I think this motor has capacitors..

Thanks for any help..

Sorry warnos; but, you need to find a thread that is related to your post. This thread is about the LRP SPX Stock Spec ESC. Just do a search on the "LRP Sphere TC ESC" to find answers to what you are seeking.

Thanks.

Bill

Default spx with speedpassion 3.0 13.5T

hi guys,
i was running my spx with a speedpassion 13.5T last weekend. however, i was experiencing a lack of speed and punch compared to other drivers. since the others were runninng same motor i was wondering about the gearing since this is still a mystery to me. the setup was

indoor high grip 30 m straigt
spx prog 8
sp v3.0 13.5T (timing manually to +10°)
gearing 1:5.0

does the spx actually provide more power when the 10° timing on the motor is applied or not? if yes should die FDR by more like 1:6.0 or even lower to 1:4.5 to get more punch and top speed.

thanks for your help!

cheers

I'm currently running a Novak Ballistic 13.5 with a Novak GTB ESC and have hit the sweetspot on the FDR at 4.6.
I now have an LRP SPX SS ESC and I'm looking for advice on gearing for the same motor when running profiles 5,6,7 and 8. Can anybody help me with a starting point? I plan on running profiles 7 and 8 mostly.

Many thanks

JJC

Try FDR 6-7 for those profiles. Only temp and lap times will tell you its the right ratio.
