Reciever packs legal?
I saw a pic of hara's pro4 in the Pro4 thread and there's a reciever pack sitting in it. Are you allowed to run reciever packs in Japan? There illegal under roar rules in the US right? :confused:
Cheers, fatdoggy. |
As far as I know, receiver packs are legal, everywhere. Just look at 1/12th scale racing. Most 1/12th scale racers run them. The batteries don't supply any power to the motor.

If I am not mistaken I aw a pic of Chris Dosecks car with one on it.Small.

Receiver packs are legal, and in some instances necessary, like 4-cell mod 12th roadcourse, or 4-cell mod Oval classes. In TC Mod I can see how a 5-cell receiver pack could benefit you with a bit quicker servo response, and additional torque.

Receiver packs legal?
Guys;
The reason for using Receiver packs is simply, Voltage. You are trying to provide a contant 6.0v to the RX and servos for the best possible operation. |

i believe most of the cars out there are underweight too! why go glue quarters to your car when you could add a receiver pack in the car...it brings up the weight and has servo advantage! kill 2 birds with one stone!
the problem is theres one extra think to charge! |
had some show at our track 2-3weeks ago with a Mod-TC. he had a 5-cell rec pk hooked up to power only his fan on the motor and personal X-ponder. didn't see any lead in the slot next to the motor on the TC3
i run one in my 12th scale |
