Hey Guys,
I have a fair condition TA03R TRF roller that I pulled out of my box of unused RC stuff. Is it worth anything?

You may be able to get something decent for it. The higher end TA03's like your R-TRF and the DJ are highly sought after by drifters... or at least they used to be. The kit does include parts that are impossible to get nowadays. Put out some feelers on drift specific forums in the FS section and see what happens.
It's just that there are a few front motor drift chassis options out there now that are easier to get parts for and offer alot more adjustability.

I know yours is the R version but switching to a F isn't very hard at all. If you're feeling the drift bug, that car in you have is on helluva way to start with a front one way and rear spool.

Default Rally Tires for Ta03?

Hi Guys: I some some guys at the track this weekend running Losi Mini 8ight buggies, and thought that those front tires might fit pretty well on the Ta03, Has anyone tried it? I was thinking that if the wider mini-8ight back tires would fit under a 190 mm body, it would handle better than with all 4 narrow tires.

Any recommendations for other rally tires that fit on this chassis? I wont be doing any jumps more than 6 inches off the ground, but the course is hard dirt so traction is important.

I took a closer look at it yesterday and saw that both front hubs are cracked.

Probably just a parts car at this point. What is a good source for parts?

knuckles or the carriers? The carriers I think you can still get from Tamiya USA, its the knuckles that you have to go to ebay, etamiya, etc to try and find.

Default Front shafts binding on sharp turns. Advice?

Hi Guys:
I took my Ta03F to the track this weekend, and had a great time running it around at full speed (with a 17.5 T motor).
When I got home, I noticed that the front dogbones were worn from binding on the ouside during hard turns ( I can actually hear it clicking). I reduced the steering end points for now. Do the universals

Make a difference in turning radius, or do they just spin with less friction than dogbones? BR Jerry

Is it the dog bones that are worn out? Or the cups that the dog bones sit in? Tamiya does, or at least used to, make hardened cups for both gear diffs and ball diffs that will help both items last longer.

The universals are engineered to be more efficient than dog bones and cups. But they are also better able to handle hard rights and lefts with out the assembly falling apart.

The dogbones are getting worn on the end of the shaft, next to the ball. There are slots in the cups for the dogbone Pin to ride in, and under hard turns that slot will chip away on the shaft. Funny that I never noticed it until running on the track. Thanks for the info. I found a set of universals in my parts bin, and Jerry-rigged the cracked tub chassis back together, so its ready to go again for the weekend!

Default TA03 Short Variant option items

Hello TA03 Fans ;-)

Recently Posted some TA03 stuff for conversion of TA03 to Short Variant option (237mm wheelbase) on my home trade page (5th post from the Top of this page) Buy And Sell Thread (January2013) : http://www.rctech.net/forum/manila-r...s-only-65.html

Though I offered it for individual sales here, you would be needing everything if you start to build or convert to a Short Variant of TA03 (you'll need them for spares) and it would be better to take all items as it would save postage cost considering the distance.

Can send PM to me if interested.
