Okay, all you hardcore TA03 Veteran Fans, I got a crazy deal on a ton of stuff, so you might want to checkout what I posted so far in the forsale/trade side!

hello, forgot we had this. TA03. It has the FRP chassis conversion and low friction shocks. The original shell was the Subaru Impreza rally car. Last shell it ran was a nice Tamiya Astra DTM shell. Might even have that somewhere still.

Sorry about the pics but they were taken in a hurry.

Wow! I didn't know the TA03 is still alive.

I have one i bought (TA03R) when i was about 18 years old (9+ years ago). Could not afford hop ups or spares that time. Played a bit, then stored it in the box for many years until a few months ago when i started to revive my RC hobby.

I am planning to make an MR rally/touring car. The idea is to use the F chassis on the R, to put more weight on the back. And remove the front drive train to make it MR.

That is, if i can get the parts.

IMO the TA03 is the most interesting, so many configurations F, R, FS, FR, twin motor etc... I am not interested by the newer TA chassises with the belt drives. TA04: nice motor and battery position but 2 belts --> more slack, less responsive. TA05: i never like the side battery position whether belt or shaft. The only thing i don't really like about the 03 is the suspension design, but what to do...

I really like the TAO3 series of cars. I ran the David Jun TAO3F in 1996 to win the TCS race held at Hobby Works in Maryland. I remember running 1700SCR packs with a 10 turn in the car. Wow I really miss that car.

Currently I have a TAO3R-S TRF version. DOn't really ever run it anymore but just keep it around because I really like the car.

I'd have to say my favourite is www.rcmart.com , but they don't have it all. I'd pay top dollar for another FRP or CF chassis but I can't find them anywhere.

Parts for our cars are getting harder and harder to find though. I thought with the release of the TA03F drift we were going to get some re-release spares/hopups!?

Anybody has experience converting their R or RS to MR? I think it would be fun.

Well, i just converted my TA03R to MR. Tried this set up today:

Front:
Damper: stock (super mini)
Spring: on road tuned hard spring - hard (blue)
Camber: stock
Toe: loosen 1/2 turn anti-clockwise each side

Rear:
Damper: stock (mini with 5mm internal spacer), 4mm external spacer
Spring: on road tuned hard spring - extra hard (white)
Camber: stock

Tires: stock radials with stock inserts
Body: HPI Lotus Elise with wing, 10mm height removed from front bumper and side skirt (this was for my TL01 set up , to mount it lower, but did not work for the 03, so the ground clearance was quite high)

I did not really set up anything, a lot of stock settings. I just slapped on the hardest springs i have. Nevertheless, it handled great. I would say better than the GT. It has more grip front and rear. I could throttle it harder than the GT.

I am very happy with this set up. Can't wait to get an FRP chassis for more tuning options.

Hi guys, i have just inherited a partial chassis with DIY aluminium double deck.
It is all rusty and need a major cleaning up. Could somebody list out the number and length and type of screws needed to fit it? Thanks.
