Well, i just converted my TA03R to MR. Tried this set up today:
Damper: stock (super mini)
Spring: on road tuned hard spring - hard (blue)
Toe: loosen 1/2 turn anti-clockwise each side
Damper: stock (mini with 5mm internal spacer), 4mm external spacer
Spring: on road tuned hard spring - extra hard (white)
Tires: stock radials with stock inserts
Body: HPI Lotus Elise with wing, 10mm height removed from front bumper and side skirt (this was for my TL01 set up , to mount it lower, but did not work for the 03, so the ground clearance was quite high)
I did not really set up anything, a lot of stock settings. I just slapped on the hardest springs i have. Nevertheless, it handled great. I would say better than the GT. It has more grip front and rear. I could throttle it harder than the GT.
I am very happy with this set up. Can't wait to get an FRP chassis for more tuning options.
